Working Visit of the Ambassador of Armenia to Vietnam Mr. Vahram Kazhoyan to Danang City

H.E. Mr. Vahram Kazhoyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam had a working visit to Danang city from March 30 to April 3, 2023.

During the visit, Ambassador Kazhoyan had meetings with H.E. Mr. Huynh Duc Truong, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Committee of Danang and H.E. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh, Chairman of Danang Union of Friendship Organizations (DAFO).

During the meetings, the parties discussed issues referring to the development of bilateral relations, particularly, the signing of the sister-city memorandum of understanding between the cities of Vanadzor and Danang, the establishment of the Vietnam-Armenia Friendship Association in Da Nang and a number of other issues.

In the framework of the working visit to Danang, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia, accompanied by other representatives of the Diplomatic Corps in Vietnam, visited the American University of Vietnam in Danang, where he had a meeting with Ms. Binh Thy Nguyen Tran, Chair of the Boards of Director and Management of American University of Vietnam, Mr. Dương Mạnh Cường, Head of the American University of Vietnam Representative Office in Vietnam and Vice-Chairman of Vietnam-Armenia Friendship Association, professors and other members of the faculty, as well as made a tour of the AUV campus. Mr. Kazhoyan discussed the possibilities of signing memoranda of understanding between the American University of Vietnam and the universities of Armenia and the prospects of further cooperation between them.

Ambassador Kazhoyan participated in the final stage of Miss South-East Asia Business Woman 2023 Contest, as a Guest of Honor. The contest is held annually with the participation of successful businesswomen representing the countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and from other Southeast Asian. The winner of the contest was the representative of Vietnam.

Ms. Tam Nguyen, Assistant to the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia accompanied the Ambassador Kazhoyan during the meetings in the framework of the working visit to Danang.
